For customers utilizing Salesforce Lightning that may want to avoid referencing our custom object on layouts or that want more customized contact lists, you also have options to utilize Dynamic Related Lists to show separate/filtered related lists for:

  • UserGems Contacts
  • All Account Contacts
  • Contacts that have left the company
  • Any other filtered Contact lists

To add these, simply navigate to the Lightning Record Page editor, and begin adding “Dynamic Related Lists” to the page where you want them to appear for your users. 

Once the Dynamic Related Lists are on the layout, we can configure the specific settings for each of them (in the right panel):

UserGems Contacts:

  • Parent Record = “Use This Account"
  • Related List = "Contacts"
  • Related List Label = "UserGem Contacts"
  • Related List Type = (your choice)
  • Number of Records to Display = (your choice)
  • Show List View Action Bar = FALSE
  • Sort Field = "UG - Job Started Date" (Descending)
  • Sort Order = (your choice)
  • Record List Filters = "UG - Is a Past User" = TRUE

Contact Related List Fields (suggested):

  • Contact Name
  • Title
  • UG - Past Account
  • UG - Past Account Type
  • UG - Past Title
  • UG - Job Started Date

All Contacts:

All Contacts - this is likely already on your layout as a standard related list - this just gives you more flexibility with its location on the page:

  • Parent Record = “Use This Account"
  • Related List = "Contacts"
  • Related List Label = "All Contacts"
  • Related List Type = (your choice)
  • Number of Records to Display = (your choice)
  • Show List View Action Bar = (your choice)
  • Sort Field = (your choice)
  • Sort Order = (your choice)
  • Related List Filters = None

Contacts that have Left the Company:

  • Parent Record = “Use This Account"
  • Related List = "Contacts"
  • Related List Label = "Contacts that have Left the Company"
  • Related List Type = (your choice)
  • Number of Records to Display = (your choice)
  • Show List View Action Bar = FALSE
  • Sort Field = "UG - Job Ended Date" (Descending)
  • Sort Order = (your choice)
  • Related List Filters = "UG - No Longer at Company" = TRUE

Contact Related List Fields (suggested):

  • Contact Name
  • Title
  • Email
  • UG - No Longer at Company
