What is it?
Snippets control the AI messaging that Gem-E produces for signals. By default, each Signal that's active in your account's Signal Library will have a Signal Snippet, and Custom Signal Snippets can be created for more tailored messaging (e.g. personalized follow up after an event).
Setup Steps
To view Snippets:
- Select ‘Gem-E’ in the left menu bar
- Select ‘Signal Snippets’ at the top of the page

Available Signal Snippets
All of UserGems' native signals that are activated in the Signal Library will be available and active by default.
Signals can consist of multiple Snippets, for example:
Opener: opens an email
Closer: closes an email before CTA
PS: after CTA in the form of “P.S”
Subject: AI generated subject for various signals
Adding Custom Signal Snippets
- For custom signals you want to configure a custom snippet for, seleclt "add a custom signal snippet" in the top right corner

- Name the snippet
- Create entrance criteria (ex. a website visitor to your website's pricing page)

- Select a Category for your new Snippet (e.g. Opener, Closer, Middle, PS, or a new category)
- If you need a new category, select "Add category" in the dropdown, then give the new category a name.

Adding a Custom Snippet to an Email
Now that you've created your custom snippet, navigate back to the Actions tab and add this snippet into an Action/email as desired.
Start typing "/" to insert a variable or snippet.

Save your work: always make sure to hit Save button before leaving the Snippets page.
