Who can do this?
Notes
For job change contact tracking, you may think of a variety of automations that would be beneficial to the UserGems program. Some common workflows we see configured:
- Advanced routing
- Triggering notifications for job departures or joiners
- Automatically adding to HubSpot sequences
- Etc.
Many of our customers have pre-existing workflows for some or all of the above bullets where we can seamlessly sit on top of them. However, if you need to construct new or UserGems-specific workflows, we have provided some guidance below.
To create workflows based on the Past Contact’s job departure, simply create a new Contact-based workflow where:
- Workflow is triggered “When filter criteria is met”
- Trigger: UG - No Longer at Company = "Yes"
- Once the trigger is set, you can add decisions/actions as needed!
- Here is a simple notification workflow example:

To create workflows based on the Current Contact’s new job, simply create a new Contact-based workflow where:
- Workflow is triggered “When filter criteria is met”
- Trigger: Last Activity Date is unknown AND UG - Is a Past User is any of ‘Yes’ (Note: We will update this property for all job changers at their new/current company)
- Here is a simple auto-sequencing workflow example referencing the Past Relationship Type as well as the type of account the job changer is landing at.
