Gong Engage

What is it?

While UserGems and Gong Engage don't integrate directly, UserGems does directly integrate with your CRM, which Gong Engage integrates with too. The UserGems <> CRM integration enables:

  1. The sync of Contacts/Leads and Accounts between UserGems and your CRM.
  2. UserGems to automatically add Contacts directly to the right Flow to reduce the manual work for your reps and ensure timely followup.

How it works

1. Create Gem-E fields in CRM

  • Set up 4 custom fields on CRM contact or lead (based on the desired object that you will use for Gong variables / use when enrolling in your Gong Flow) for UserGems to write the emails written by Gem-E
  • Hide these fields on the page layout so it doesn't' crowd the page (unless you want reps to see them)

2. Create custom Gem-E variables in Gong Engage

To create variables from CRM fields:

  1. Go to Company Settings > CRM > Salesforce/HubSpot
  2. In the Import from Salesforce/HubSpot area, click Manage Fields
  3. Create variable next to the relevant fields created from Step 1

3. Create a Gong Flow using custom variables

4. Update Flow rules to automatically enroll Gem-E records to Flow

  1. Navigate to Rules
  2. Configure Rules for Add People
  3. Configure the trigger: ‘When’ lead or contact (based on your choice in step 1) is updated with Gem-E Email Body 1
  4. Configure the condition: ‘If’ ‘Gem-E Email Body 1’ is not empty
  5. Configure the ‘Then’ action to add the prospect to the Gem-E flow and assign to the desired owner field

Additional Considerations

  • Configure your reports/flows so that any given prospect only enrolls in one UG flow at a time.
    • You can utilize "Import Rules" along with field updates/actions to prevent enrollment in multiple flows at once
  • Be mindful of who will be the "sender" for a given flow.
    • Adding user lookup or owner fields to the source report will allow you to dynamically set the "sender" based on who the prospect is.
