Prospects, Audiences, and Filters

What are Audiences?

Audiences define the entry criteria for Prospects to be added to a campaign. Because of this, audiences will always be the first step in a campaign.

You can think of audiences as a CRM report of all the prospects UserGems has found and created, which can then be further filtered to trigger a specific action.

How to Create an Audience

  1. Navigate to the Prospect Audiences tab using the left-side panel, or create an audience from a new workflow.
  1. Apply your filters to define who should qualify for this campaign and the corresponding actions. For a complete list of filter values and their meanings, see the "Filter Descriptions" section.
    • Example: If you're building an audience for an Accounts w/ Funding campaign, you might add the following filters:
    • Company Signal: Select "Funding" to capture funded accounts.
    • People Signal: Select "Multi-Thread" to identify key buying committee members.
    • Has Email: Select “Yes” Ensure contacts have valid email addresses.
    • Last Activity Date: Empty or before X mos ago
  1. Name your audience and save it in a folder
    • Override existing: Replaces the filters in the current audience. Use this only if you want to update the existing audience.
    • Create new: Saves it as a completely new audience.
