Signal: Contact Tracking
Notes

When we recognize a job change from one of your contact lists, we will create a new record for them at their new company in addition to updating the Past Contact. All field updates are controlled within our UI.

Depending on which record creation settings you chose, you will see specific tabs related to the different types of updates that can be made. Here is a quick description of each:

Create Contact - creation of net new contact at their new company

Update existing Contact - if you already have a contact in Salesforce for this person as their new company, we will only update the existing contact instead of creating a new one (no job change credit consumed in this scenario - free enrichment).

Create Lead - creation of a new new lead at their new company

Update existing Lead - if you already have a lead in Salesforce for this person as their new company, we will only update the existing lead instead of creating a new one (no job change credit consumed in this scenario - free enrichment).

Create Account (not pictured above) - creation of net new account for the company where this job changer landed if the account does not already exist and you have selected the setting to create an account

Update existing Account (not pictured above) - if you already have the account in your Salesforce where this job changer has moved to, we can provide some free enrichment options with our data

Update old Lead - if you are tracking any leads on your Contact Lists, we would update the lead to indicate they no longer work at the company

Update old Contact - for contacts on your Contact Lists, we will update them to indicate they no longer work at the company

Add to Campaign - allows us to add contacts/leads to a campaign of your choice

  • Simply add a Campaign ID and a Status for the Campaign Member (a typical default Status is "Sent")
  • Please also make sure that the Campaign is set to "Active" and that the integration user has the "Marketing User" checkbox checked.

Field Types

By default, we map UserGem-specific fields for each tab (all prefixed with “UG”) - along with some standard fields for record creation. You can add additional or custom mappings for any of the available tabs.

  • “Static” updates: A specific field value update (either via picklist/boolean selection or text value insert)
  • “Dynamic” updates: Insert of UserGems-sourced data (ex. Address data, LinkedIn URLs, etc.) - we can provide data at the person or company level
