Website Visitors (Vector)

What is it?

The Website Visitors signal helps turn website activity into sales actions by identifying visiting stakeholders at key accounts.

How it works

  1. Activate the Website Visitors signal in the Signals Library.
  1. Sign up in Vector & Create Org
    • You will be redirected to the Vector website to create your Organization
    • First, click “Sign up” at the bottom
    • Populate Name, Email, and PW then click “Sign up with Email"
    • Find Confirmation email from Vector and follow link back into Vector to create your org
    • Enter an Organization Name (your company name) and click “Create Organization”
    • You will then be redirected back to the UserGems platform with a confirmation message:
  1. Align with your CSM on things like:
    • Which web pages/URLs to track visits on
    • Do you have any lists of contacts we should exclude from tracking?
    • Do you have any company/account lists that we should include or exclude?
  1. Once CSM gives green light, install the snippet on your website
    • Navigate back to the activated Vector signal in UserGems, and copy the generated script from the signal editor
  1. Install the snippet on your website via Google Tag Manager:
    • Go to your workspace in Google Tag Manager and click 'New Tag'
    • Click 'Tag Configuration' and choose 'Custom HTML' from the list
    • Copy the snippet under the Signal > Setup and paste it into the HTML field
    • Check the 'Support document.write' box underneath the HTML field in Google Tag Manager
    • Under 'Advanced Settings,' select "Unlimited" from the 'Tag firing' dropdown
    • Select a Trigger that has a Trigger type 'Page View' and set it to trigger on 'All Page Views'
    • Save the tag and publish it to your website
